Starting JANURARY 19TH, The Town of Huntsville will pick up garbage every Monday at 8:00 a.m. We will no longer be running a Tuesday garbage route. Regardless of the time your garbage is regularly picked up, all garbage should be out by 8:00 a.m. in the event there is a change in the daily route. Only household garbage will be picked up and it must be in bags and should be secured to prevent dogs or other animals from tearing into and spreading garbage along the streets. If one of the scheduled holidays listed below falls on Monday then garbage will be picked up on the following day.
The Town has seen an increase in tanks containing compressed gases being in with the household garbage. These tanks can explode and have in the past when the trash is compacted. For the safety of our employees, we asked that you NEVER put these tanks in the garbage.
