Located at the end of Old Town Springs Road at New River, the Huntsville Boat Ramp is a project that was coordinated between the Town of Huntsville and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.

New River, which merge with Clear Fork to form the Big South Fork of the Cumberland River, is a popular destination for recreational kayakers. The boat ramp provides a perfect spot for kayakers to launch from, as well as anglers who are using john boats on the river. From the boat ramp, kayakers can paddle upstream or downstream. There are two takeouts for those who don’t want to repeat their tracks — upstream at the Winona Road Bridge, or downstream at the U.S. Hwy. 27 Bridge.
