Residents of the Town of Huntsville enjoy the following services provided by the town. Before any annexation, a Plan of Services is developed by the Huntsville Planning Commission and approved by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen.
Fire & Rescue
Huntsville Fire & Rescue is a fully-equipped, volunteer fire department with a Class 6 ISO rating. The department is certified in rescue operations and has specialized equipment to extricate wreck victims who are pinned inside vehicles. The department is also Hazmat-certified to assist with decontamination of hazardous materials.
In addition to responding to all fire calls within the Town of Huntsville and outlying areas just outside of town, Huntsville Fire & Rescue dispatches to most motor vehicle accidents and other accidents occurring within town, and provides mutual aid to neighboring fire districts.
Sanitation
Free garbage pickup is provided to all residents of the Town of Huntsville. The pickup day is Monday, except for town holidays. Household garbage must be bagged in order to be eligible for pickup.
Debris Removal

ROW Mowing
The Town of Huntsville Street Department mows all rights-of-way on all highways and streets within the Huntsville city limits. The Street Department works diligently to keep all streets clear of debris.
Decreased Sewer Rates
The Town of Huntsville operates a wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system. The sewer system covers all of Huntsville, as well as, some areas outside the corporate city limits. However, residents of the Town of Huntsville enjoy discounted sewer rates.
