PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING

The Town of Huntsville Planning Commission will meet in regular session on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

Anyone wishing to be placed on the agenda should submit a written request by email to tohuntsville@highland.net no later than 12:00 noon on August 21, 2026.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

The Town of Huntsville will hold a public hearing on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. regarding:

Ordinance 26-08-01 – Amending the 2026–2027 Fiscal Year Budget

The public is invited to attend.

 CUSTOMERS – CASH ROUNDING POLICY

Due to the discontinuation of the penny, the Town of Huntsville has adopted a cash rounding policy in accordance with Tennessee law.

What this means:

•Cash transactions may be rounded to the nearest 5 cents only when exact change is not available

•Payments made by card, check, or online will not be rounded

Rounding Examples:

•1¢ or 2¢ → rounded down

•3¢ or 4¢ → rounded up

•6¢ or 7¢ → rounded down

•8¢ or 9¢ → rounded up

Important:

•Taxes are calculated on the exact amount before rounding

•Pennies are still accepted as legal tender

•Customers are encouraged to use exact change or electronic payment methods to minimize rounding
